My name is David Corey LaRoda and I'm originally from Huntsville, AL. I moved to New York City to focus on a career in fashion design, and even was at the top of my class while attending the Art Institute of New York City. I unfortunately never graduated, because I landed a job working for Baby Phat as a junior designer. After a few years of bouncing between fashion jobs and working at Red Lobster in Time Square, I randomly got an offer to do paparazzi after creating a BMX video for my (then) brother-in-law. Around 2008, I quit doing video paparazzi and decided I wanted to learn the ends and outs behind still camera. Fast forward to today, and I know all about studio lighting, shooting outdoors, on-location photography, high key lighting setups, and (of course) video. I'm currently learning to use color gels, and I'm constantly updating my portfolio... so keep and eye out for things to come.
